Terms of Service.

Effective date: 14 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Rootlex Technologies Pvt Ltd ("we", "us") for using Swish, the phone app for animating photos and editing video. By using Swish, you agree to them.

Who can use Swish

You need to be 18 or older, or have your parent's or guardian's permission and have them agree to these terms for you. You must be allowed to use Swish under the laws that apply to you.

Your account

You sign in to Swish with your Google account, through Google's Firebase Authentication. Keep that Google account secure: what happens in Swish while you're signed in is treated as done by you. You can delete your Swish account at any time; see Delete your account.

Your licence to use Swish

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Swish on devices you own or control, under these terms. Swish, its code, design, built-in skies, music, sounds, fonts, effects and templates belong to us or our licensors. Don't copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, or remove its notices, except where the law allows it.

Your photos, videos and projects

What you make is yours. We don't claim ownership of your photos, videos, projects or exports. Editing and rendering happen on your phone, and your projects and media stay there. AI edit uses a Gemini API key you add yourself: when you use it, the app sends what that request needs (described in the privacy page) from your phone to Google's Gemini API under your key, only to answer you.

You're responsible for what you edit and share. Only use material you have the right to use, and get permission before editing or sharing pictures of other people.

Acceptable use

Don't use Swish to:

• break the law, or infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• make or share sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate images, or content that harasses, threatens, defames or exploits someone;
• make deceptive content meant to pass off a real person as saying or doing something they didn't, or to mislead people about real events;
• misuse AI edit: try to get around its safety limits, send it unlawful or harmful material, flood it with automated requests, or use its output to train other AI models;
• interfere with the app or the Swish server, probe them for weaknesses, or access them in ways we don't offer.

Google's Gemini API terms and usage policies, and any charges on your own key, apply to what you send to AI edit.

AI edit

AI edit is optional. It suggests and makes edits with Swish's own tools, and it can get things wrong, misread a picture or produce a result you don't want. Check what it does before you share it; you can undo any change. AI replies aren't professional advice. If a reply is wrong or harmful, report it from inside the app; reports are kept up to 1 year for safety review.

Swish Pro

Swish Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks extra features. It's sold through Razorpay Subscriptions, paid by UPI AutoPay or card, on one of these plans:

• Weekly: ₹5 a week
• Monthly: ₹2,000 a month
• Yearly: ₹18,000 a year

It renews automatically at the end of each period and charges the same payment method, until you cancel. Prices include applicable taxes. If a price changes, we'll tell you before your next renewal, and the new price applies from that renewal.

Cancel any time in the app (Settings, Swish Pro, Cancel AutoPay) or by revoking the mandate in your UPI app. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing renews after that. Refunds follow our Cancellation and refund policy.

Services from other companies

Swish relies on Google (sign-in through Firebase Authentication, and the Gemini API for AI edit) and Razorpay (payments). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what they do, and we aren't responsible for their services being available.

Changes to Swish

We keep improving Swish, so features may change, be added or be removed. If we remove a Swish Pro feature in a way that matters to you, you can cancel as described above.

Ending

You can stop using Swish and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. Anything in these terms that by its nature should last after they end (ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, governing law) does.

Disclaimers

Swish is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, work on every phone or meet every need. Keep copies of photos and videos that matter to you: projects live only on your phone, and uninstalling Swish or losing the phone removes them.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim about Swish is limited to the amount you paid us for Swish Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them or about Swish.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top, and for significant changes we'll tell you before they take effect. If you keep using Swish after that, the new terms apply.
